Learn MoreWHAT: County officials will celebrate the opening of the new Employee Wellness Center with a ribbon cutting ceremony. The Wellness Center features five exam rooms, a multipurpose room for training and wellness activities, laboratory, office space for medical and wellness staff and a dispensary carrying a supply of generic, pre-packaged medications for prescriptions written by center staff.
WHO: Chairman Charlotte Nash and all Board of Commissioners members will participate in the ceremony. Representatives from Healthstat Inc., Kaiser Permanente and other healthcare providers for the center will attend the event.

WHERE: The Employee Wellness Center is located on the second floor of the Gwinnett County Government Annex, 750 South Perry Street in Lawrenceville.
WHY: The Employee Wellness Center is the first facility of its kind to be built exclusively for Gwinnett employees, retirees and their dependents. Cobb County’s employee health center is a similar facility also managed by Healthstat Inc. Gwinnett County’s wellness center will serve as a convenient and affordable option for employees and their dependents to seek preventive, routine and acute care in addition to disease management and ongoing wellness coaching.
