Learn More(Lawrenceville, Ga., Feb. 17, 2011) - Gwinnett commissioners Tuesday approved another road improvement project on Five Forks Trickum Road. This construction project will add turn lanes and sidewalks at the Ashton Lane intersection and extend the existing center turn lane at Inglenook Drive.
"This is one of a series of projects to improve Five Forks Trickum Road," said Gwinnett Transportation Director Brian Allen. "We widened a section from Flowers Crossing to Ronald Reagan Parkway in 2009, adding center turn lanes and sidewalks, and another section of the road between Cole Drive and Garner Road is now under construction. Future projects will upgrade the intersections at Sugarloaf Parkway and Chesapeake Drive."
CMES, Inc., submitted the lowest of eight bids at $327,236. The project is funded through the SPLOST sales tax program.
