GWINNETT COUNTY CELEBRATES HEALTH IN APRIL

(Lawrenceville, Ga., April 6, 2012) – Gwinnett County celebrates National County Government Month this month to highlight essential county government services and programs it provides to those who live, work and play here. The County is observing this year’s theme of Healthy Counties, Healthy Families with many free and fun events throughout the month of April. Most of the activities are designed to help residents learn about healthy living choices.

In addition, the County will host a supply drive throughout the month to collect hygiene and cleaning items for Gwinnett’s needy seniors and children. Events include a Get Out and Play Day at your local Gwinnett County park on Saturday, April 7, Volunteer Appreciation Week observance and a host of special events, seminars and workshops coordinated by County departments.
