GWINNETT OFFICIALS TO CUT RIBBON ON CREATIVELY DESIGNED CROSSWALKS

WHAT:       Gwinnett County officials will cut the ribbon on two creatively designed crosswalks at Eli Drive and Whaley Court along Hewatt Road. As part of the Killian Hill Small Area Plan, the project added vibrant artwork to the existing crosswalks to enhance placemaking near the Shiloh school cluster while improving pedestrian visibility and safety. The crosswalks, designed by local artist Angela Bortone, were inspired by artwork from a Shiloh High School student and art teacher.

WHEN:       Tuesday, April 21, 3 p.m.

WHO:         Planning and Development Senior Community Planner Hope Pollard will emcee. Speakers include Gwinnett Board of Commissioners Chairwoman Nicole Love Hendrickson, Artist Angela Bortone and Shiloh High School Principal Cappy Douglass.
