WHAT:       Gwinnett officials will break ground on Discovery Park, the latest addition to Gwinnett County’s park system. When complete, the 45-acre park will feature an interactive fountain, an inclusive playground suitable for children of all ages and abilities, sports fields, open greenspaces, a Ride Gwinnett bus stop, shaded picnic pavilions and more. A lighted multiuse trail will encircle the entire park. This project is funded by Gwinnett’s SPLOST program.

WHO:         Department of Community Services Director Tina Fleming will emcee. Speakers include Gwinnett Board of Commissioners Chairwoman Nicole Love Hendrickson and District 1 Commissioner Kirkland Carden.
