Norcross Brothers Both Sentenced to Life for Sexual Assault

(Lawrenceville, Ga., 2/12/26) – A pair of brothers were convicted of sexually abusing a girl over a period of years.

Jose Angel Soriano, 36, was found guilty of rape. Jordi F. Soriano-Balbuena, 32, was found guilty of rape and aggravated child molestation. Both men were sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for the encounters that happened to the victim.

“We are pleased with these verdicts and sentences that protect the most vulnerable members of our community,” District Attorney Patsy Austin-Gatson said.
The victim reported the sexual abuse to her mother who contacted police. The men had multiple other victims in DeKalb County, and three of those victims testified during trial.

Deputy Chief Assistant District Attorney Wanda Vance prosecuted this case with the assistance of Legal Intern Debra Johnson, Special Victims Unit Investigator Christina Newman, and Victim Witness Advocate Esther Askew. The Norcross Police Department and the Brookhaven Police Department were invaluable in helping to prosecute this case.
