ROAD WIDENING INCLUDES SCHOOL TRAFFIC LIGHT

WHAT: Georgia DOT is widening State Route 20/Grayson Highway to a four-lane divided highway from Cooper/Ozora Roads to Brand Road, which includes access to Grayson High School where the new traffic signal will be placed.

WHERE: At the intersection of State Route 20/Grayson Highway and the Grayson High School access road.
WHEN: Beginning Jan. 3, the signal will operate weekdays during peak school hours from 6:30 a.m. – 8 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. – 3 p.m. The signal will start to flash on Dec. 28. Please note, these dates are contingent upon Georgia DOT’s road construction schedule moving ahead as planned.

WHY: Gwinnett DOT is adding this new traffic light to increase the safety of parent and student drivers as they travel to and from school.
