Learn MoreGwinnett County residents have an opportunity to strengthen community preparedness by participating in free, virtual Basic Spotter Training classes offered by the National Weather Service Atlanta.
These sessions provide practical instruction on how to recognize severe weather conditions and properly report them to weather officials. Trained spotters play an important role in relaying real-time information during storms, helping improve warnings and response efforts that protect lives and property.

February 26 at noon – Basic Spotter Training - Register

March 11 at noon – Basic Spotter Training - Register

March 25 at 6:00pm – Basic Spotter Training - Register
An Advanced Spotter Training course is planned for late March. Completion of one of the basic classes is recommended before attending the advanced session. Registration details will be shared soon.
