Learn MoreGwinnett County Government’s Communications team has earned a regional Emmy nomination for its short-form feature, Go Gwinnett! The Legacy of Hooper-Renwick, continuing the County’s momentum in award-winning storytelling.
The project highlights the legacy of Hooper-Renwick School, Gwinnett’s only public school for Black students. Now preserved as the Hooper-Renwick Themed Library, the site stands as a lasting tribute to its history and the generations it served. Through visual storytelling and historical context, the piece captures the school’s significance and its enduring impact on the community.
The nominations include Deborah Tuff, Brandon Davis, Jason Tyre, and Kamal McAllister.
This latest recognition follows four previous Emmy nominations for Gwinnett County productions, including two award-winning projects, Upfront Gwinnett: Fighting Fentanyl and Upfront Gwinnett: The Hidden Homeless, which earned wins in 2024 and 2025, respectively.
The Emmy Awards ceremony will be held May 16 in Atlanta.
