In metro Atlanta, a light haze may be visible due to wildfires in South Georgia. While the haze may be seen in Gwinnett County, Georgia Emergency Management and the National Weather Service indicate that there is no immediate risk to the public, and no specific actions are being recommended at this time. 

As a reminder, no outdoor burning is allowed when the Gwinnett County Fire Marshal's Office determines that it is a NO BURN day due to atmospheric conditions or local circumstances that make outdoor burning hazardous. Outdoor burning notices are posted daily at GwinnettCounty.com/OutdoorBurning. 

Governor Kemp announced that much of South and Central Georgia are under a burn ban as of April 22 as wildfires ongoing drought conditions impact the state. Please do your part to prevent the spread of wildfires and preserve air quality.
