All northbound and southbound lanes of Interstate 285 between State Route 139/Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive at Exit 9 and Cascade Road at Exit 7 will be closed this weekend for a Georgia Department of Transportation reconstruction project.
 
Additionally, one left lane will be closed on Interstate 285 Northbound between Washington Road at Exit 1 and Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive at Exit 9.
 
The closure will begin at 7:00pm on Friday, June 5 and continue until 5:00am on Monday, June 8, weather permitting. There will be no through traffic through this section at any time during the closure. 

Please expect significant, region-wide delays and heavy congestion on I-20, I-75/I-85, and State Route 166/Langford Parkway this weekend. If traveling through metro Atlanta, plan ahead and use alternate routes. 

Overhead message boards and roadside signage will alert drivers of detour routes and lane closures.
