Share your vison for the Sugarloaf Small Area Plan

The Sugarloaf area has grown into one of Gwinnett’s premier destinations for entertainment, business, art, and education. It is a major economic engine for Gwinnett County, generating an estimated $15.6 billion in annual economic impact.

As Sugarloaf grows, so does our opportunity to strengthen its identity, improve connections, and create a more welcoming experience for everyone who lives, works, and plays in the area. To guide these efforts, Gwinnett County and the Sugarloaf Community Improvement District are working on the Sugarloaf Small Area Plan, a 20-year visionary document that will guide future development policies and infrastructure investments.

The goal is to foster a vibrant community that attracts residents and visitors, supports business, and provides unique experiences. The plan aims to accomplish this by focusing on mobility, placemaking, and redevelopment; however, the plan itself does not include development or new regulations at this time.

Now is your chance to help shape this growing community! Help us identify what works and doesn’t work in the study area by sharing your input anonymously in the Sugarloaf Small Area Plan Survey. We’re looking to hear from business owners and residents in the Sugarloaf area, as well as visitors who frequent the area for work, entertainment, family, or beyond.

If you’re interested in learning more about the Sugarloaf Small Area Plan or talking with the project team you can also visit our Gwinnett Planning and Development table at the Multicultural Festival on Saturday, May 2 from noon to 4:00pm at Sugarloaf Mills, 5900 Sugarloaf Pkwy, Lawrenceville.
