Learn MoreThe Gwinnett County Solicitor General’s Office is partnering with the Prosecuting Attorneys’ Council of Georgia to host a Joint Law Enforcement and Prosecutor Impaired Driving Training on Wednesday, April 8, and Thursday, April 9, from 9:00am to 4:00pm at the Gwinnett County Police Training Center. The training is designed to strengthen DUI enforcement and prosecution efforts across Gwinnett.
This comprehensive two-day training will bring together law enforcement officers and prosecutors to enhance collaboration, improve case outcomes, and advance public safety. Participants will receive updated legal guidance and practical instruction designed to support effective impaired driving enforcement and prosecution.
The course will cover several key topics, including Georgia DUI law, phases of detection, case law updates, implied consent procedures, search warrants, cannabis impairment, and cross-examination strategies. The training will also include hands-on practical exercises to help participants apply these concepts in real-world scenarios.
Law enforcement officers and prosecutors who complete the course will receive 12 hours of POST and CLE credit. Eligible participants may register for the training here.
The Gwinnett County Police Training Center is located at 854 Winder Highway in Lawrenceville.
