Starting late July, residents visiting the Gwinnett County Jail may notice temporary construction activity and changes to portions of the parking lot as the County begins a multiphase improvement project. 

To minimize disruptions, County employees will park in an overflow lot, helping preserve parking for residents and vendors. Temporary fencing will close off active construction areas, but the west side of the parking lot is expected to remain largely unaffected throughout the project. 

The improvements will enhance safety, strengthen facility security, and provide long-term infrastructure upgrades that support Sheriff's Office operations. 

Construction updates, including schedules and parking information, will be shared as work progresses.
