All northbound and southbound lanes of Interstate 285 between State Route 139/Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive at Exit 9 and Cascade Road at Exit 7 will be closed this weekend for a Georgia Department of Transportation reconstruction project.

The closure will begin at 7:00pm on Friday, May 15 and continue until 5:00am on Monday, May 18, weather permitting. There will be no through traffic at any time during the closure.

Please expect significant, region-wide delays and heavy congestion on I-20, I-75/I-85, and Langford Parkway this weekend. If traveling through metro Atlanta, plan ahead and use alternate routes.

Overhead message boards and roadside signage will alert drivers of detour routes and lane closures.
