Three things to do this weekend in Gwinnett

Making a splash, properly recycling containers of hazardous products, and learning about fascinating birds are just a few things to do in Gwinnett this weekend. 

Check out these events taking place Friday, February 6 through Sunday, February 8

Enjoy a pool night in 
Teens ages 13 to 16 can join us at Teens Swim Night on Friday, February 6 at Collins Hill Aquatic Center. From 6:30pm to 9:30pm, enjoy an exciting night of swimming, games, crafts and light refreshments. 

This event costs $10 for Gwinnett residents. Make sure to bring your own swimsuits. All pool rules will apply.

Get rid of hazardous waste around the house 
Have some hard-to-dispose-of items? Bring them to the Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day event on Saturday, February 7 at the Gwinnett County Fairgrounds, located at 2405 Sugarloaf Parkway in Lawrenceville. From 9:00am to 1:00pm, residents can bring up to five disposable containers of items like motor oil, batteries, cleaning chemicals, and more for free.

Learn about our feathered friends 
Get inspired at the Wings of Wonder Live Bird Show and Demonstration on Saturday, February 7 at George Pierce Park Community Recreation Center. This captivating program brings you face-to-face with a variety of magnificent birds. From 1:00pm to 2:00pm, residents ages 4 and up can watch them showcase their unique abilities, fascinating behaviors, and vital roles in our ecosystem. 

This event costs $10 for Gwinnett residents.
