The automatic enrollment feature will apply to (i) all participants who as of July 1, 2021, are not making deferrals at least equal to the automatic enrollment amount of 3%, and (ii) all employees who are hired or rehired on or after July 1, 2021. The amendment also provides for each participant’s deferral percentage to be automatically increased by 1% of compensation each year, up to a maximum of 10% of compensation, unless such participant makes an affirmative election to opt out of the auto-increase feature.  (Staff Recommendation: Approval)
