Gwinnett County Human Services Advisory Board
The Gwinnett County Human Services Advisory Board (HSAB) was established December 12, 2023 by County Resolution and amended December 3, 2025. The purpose of the HSAB is to ensure increased coordination and collaboration among participating entities in the County-wide human services ecosystem as guided by the comprehensive human services needs assessment and 5-Year Strategic Plan.
The HSAB shall be composed of five (5) members, each of whom shall be residents of or work in a health, human, and/or social services field in Gwinnett County, in addition to the Director of the Department of Community Services, who shall serve as the non-voting chair, to be appointed as follows:
- One member appointed by the Commissioner Chairwoman
- One member appointed by the Commissioner for District 1
- One member appointed by the Commissioner for District 2
- One member appointed by the Commissioner for District 3
- One member appointed by the Commissioner for District 4
Members serve at the pleasure of the Board of Commissioners.

Members shall be residents of or work in a health, human, and/or social services field in Gwinnett County.
The HSAB is to serve as a resource to the Board of Commissioners and the Department of Community Services on behalf of the residents of Gwinnett County in recognizing and addressing health, human, and social services needs throughout the Gwinnett community.
