Gwinnett County Planning Commission
The Planning Division provides staff support for the Gwinnett County Planning Commission. The Gwinnett County Planning Commission is a committee of nine (9) residents appointed by the Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners to review and recommend on matters such as rezonings, Special Use Permits, buffer reduction requests, site plans, ordinance amendments, and other current and long-range planning projects.
The Gwinnett County Planning Commission generally meets on the first Tuesday of each month to consider rezoning and Special Use Permit applications; while the Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners usually meets on the fourth Tuesday of the month to consider all such applications. These meetings are held at 7:00 p.m. in the auditorium at the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center, 75 Langley Dr, Lawrenceville GA.
