Unified Development Ordinance
Gwinnett’s Unified Development Ordinance contains regulations governing zoning, land use, development, permits, landscape requirements, architectural guidelines, as well as procedures for the administration and application of those regulations.
The Board of Commissioners amended the Code of Ordinances of Gwinnett County in fall 2023 by amending Title 1, Title 2, Title 3, and Appendix Sections 1.0 through 5.0. These updates included adding clarifying language, removing obsolete information, updating regulations based on current and/or best practices, and more.

Nonconforming Applications Notice
The Board of Commissioners amended the Official Zoning Map of Gwinnett County in 2024 to create the Gwinnett Place Overlay District and the Satellite Boulevard/Sugarloaf Parkway Suboverlay District within the Civic Center Overlay District.
