National Faith and Blue Weekend
October 11 – 14, 2024
National Faith and Blue Weekend is a powerful, collaborative initiative that builds bridges and breaks down biases through outreach between Gwinnett County law enforcement professionals and the communities they serve.
Gwinnett County Police together with local houses of worship will host events throughout the county starting on Friday, October 11 through Monday, October 14. All events are family-friendly and there’s something for everyone. View the list of events below to find one in your community. We look forward to seeing you there!

Food Drive with Neighborhood Church September 9 – October 11 8:00am – 4:00pm |
The Training Section and the Neighborhood Church Food Bank are teaming up to help those in need with a countywide canned food drive. Drop off non-perishable food items, such as canned goods, cereal, and pasta at any of the following locations:

Community Block Party with The Salvation Army Friday, October 11 Noon – 3:00pm Valley Brook Mobile Home Park 100 Castle Club Drive Stone Mountain |
Gwinnett Police Community Affairs and The Salvation Army will partner to host a Community Block Party for National Faith and Blue Weekend. Lunch will be provided, and Live Healthy Gwinnett will be in attendance with kid-friendly activities. We look forward to seeing you there! |
Hoops and Heroes Friday, October 11 2:00pm – 4:00pm Annistown Road Church 4554 Annistown Road Snellville |
Play a game of basketball with South Precinct police officers at Annistown Road Church. This event is designed to let the local kids get to know the police who serve their community. |
Community Event Friday, October 11 5:00pm – 7:00pm Buford Church of God 4800 South Lee Street Buford |
North Precinct police officers will host a touch-a-truck event at Buford Church of God to include vehicles from Gwinnett County, Georgia State Patrol, and the Sheriff’s Office. |
Faith and Blue Day Saturday, October 12 9:30am – 12:30pm Care Pointe at Cross Pointe Church 1800 Satellite Boulevard, Duluth |
Central Precinct will partner with Cross Pointe Church. Bring the family for an early day of games, ice-cream, and to meet the officers who serve the community. There will be face painting, balloons, and much more! |
Community Cookout Saturday, October 12 11:00am – 2:00pm Lifeway Church 2005 Hurricane Shoals Road Dacula |
East Precinct will host a community cookout! Enjoy delicious BBQ, play games, and get up-close with police vehicles. |
Softball Game – Universal Church Sunday, October 13 3:00pm – 5:00pm Best Friend Park 6224 Jimmy Carter Boulevard Norcross |
Let’s play a game of ball! West Precinct officers will play a community softball game against youth from Universal Church. There will be Kona Ice, games and much more! |
Donation Drive Monday, October 14 10:00am – 12 noon Southeast Gwinnett Cooperative Ministry 55 Grayson Industrial Parkway Grayson |
Officers with the Bay Creek Precinct will welcome food donations at the Southeast Gwinnett Cooperative Ministry. The most needed items are peanut butter, jelly, cereal, tuna fish, and toilet paper. Bring your donations and help your fellow neighbors. We are stronger together! |
