The study corridor has experienced significant growth in the past three decades. The area, like the rest of the metro Atlanta region, has been heavily impacted by major transportation improvements and land use decisions.
The western portion of the study corridor is in DeKalb County and includes unincorporated DeKalb County, the cities of Doraville and Chamblee, and part of the city of Dunwoody. Most of the Study Corridor is in Gwinnett County and includes the incorporated areas of Peachtree Corners, Duluth, Norcross, Suwanee, and Berkeley Lake. The study corridor also includes part of the incorporated areas of Sugar Hill, Buford, Lawrenceville, and Lilburn.
