The Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax program, commonly known as SPLOST, is a one cent sales tax that Georgia voters have the option to approve for their counties. Since 1985, Gwinnett County voters have approved a series of SPLOST programs, funding a variety of projects all around the county. A few notable projects include the construction of the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center, Sugarloaf Parkway extension, Grayson Branch Library, Harbins Park, and the Pleasant Hill Road Diverging Diamond Interchange.
