SPLOST programs are known for funding county government infrastructure improvements in the areas of transportation, public safety and courts, libraries, and recreation since 1985. Now with the 2014 SPLOST program, sales tax dollars are going toward capital projects for seniors. As one of the fastest growing segments of the population in the County, Gwinnett’s senior residents are looking for opportunities to remain active and healthy. This new category for SPLOST funding will provide new facilities and improve older ones to make that possible.
