Gwinnett Youth Commission Application Form

Applications will be open from March 16 to April 17, 2026.

To be considered, students must meet the following criteria:

Submit a completed application.
Submit typed essay questions.
Must be a rising sophomore, junior, or senior.
Must attend a Gwinnett County Public School, Buford City School, private, charter, or home school in Gwinnett County.
Must be a Gwinnett County resident (residency will be verified to ensure eligibility).
Submit Letter of Recommendation from a teacher, professional reference, coach, mentor, faith community member, etc. Letter should include overview of relationship, special interest, motivations, leadership qualities, and examples

Please email letters of recommendation and unofficial transcripts to CivicEngagement@GwinnettCounty.com. These materials may be submitted after you apply, but no later than the application deadline. All applications without a letter of recommendation and unofficial transcript will be disqualified after the deadline.
