Gwinnett Youth Commission Application Form

Applications will be open from March 16 to April 13, 2026.

To be considered, students must meet the following criteria:

Submit a completed application.
Submit typed essay questions.
Must be a rising sophomore, junior, or senior.
Must attend a Gwinnett County Public School, Buford City School, private, charter, or home school in Gwinnett County.
Must be a Gwinnett County resident (residency will be verified to ensure eligibility).
Submit Letter of Recommendation from a teacher, professional reference, coach, mentor, faith community member, etc. Letter should include overview of relationship, special interest, motivations, leadership qualities, and examples

Please email Letters of Recommendation to CivicEngagement@GwinnettCounty.com. This letter may be submitted after you apply, but no later April 13. All applications submitted without a letter of recommendation will be disqualified after April 13.
