Eligibility Requirements
Substance abuse and/or mental health diagnosis
- Must provide medical history (dated within one year)
- Mental Health Court requires Severe and Persistent Mental Illness
- Veterans Court requires 90+ days of active duty (DD-214 required)
- DUI Court is for repeat DUI offenders
Residency
- Must live in Gwinnett County
- Transfers accepted from other Georgia counties with reciprocal programs
Disqualifications
- Sex offenses, murder, rape, armed robbery (withfirearm), aggravated child crimes
- History of violent offenses or gang affiliation
- Unresolved charges/holds in other jurisdictions
- Trafficking
- Possession with intent to distribute
- History of noncompliance in a structured setting
Program Fees
- Drug Court: $175 eval fee, $155/month (first 90 days free)
- DUI Court: $150 eval fee, $200/month
