The Business Relationship Management (BRM) focuses on business consulting, process optimization, process automation, technology strategy, technology roadmap management, research and analysis, and business advisory services. BRM falls within the strategic service delivery framework providing services to the Gwinnett County departments that identify, evaluate, and apply innovative technology in an efficient and cost-effective manner. The results of the services BRM delivers include solving business problems, realizing value, and improving the ability to operate efficiently and provide outstanding service delivery to the residents of Gwinnett County.
Strategic Services
The Strategic Services team serves as the IT strategic partners working directly with the Information Technology Services (ITS) organization and Gwinnett County business departments to collaboratively solve business problems and improved service delivery and operational efficiency through the use and application of technology.
This involves the following activities:
Technology Strategy - Strategic Services are the strategic partners that collaborate with the business departments to identify technology that improves business processes, automate processes, analyze, and solve problems in a manner aligned with Gwinnett County priorities.
They do this by:
- Developing and managing robust technology business cases and other strategic documents
- Identifying new technologies through networking with other organizations, vendors, and government counterparts
- Identifying process automation and optimization to which technology can be applied
- Championing technology initiatives from ideation to project inception
- Continuously deepening their understanding of assigned County departments’ business operations and services
Service Excellence - Strategic Services facilitate enhanced service delivery to County departments and the services they deliver to County residents.
They do this by:
- Reinforcing information related to ITS services, programs, and best practices
- Informing ITS senior management of customers’ concerns and performance issues
- Working closely with ITS and County executive leadership to resolve performance and service delivery issues
Business Analysis
The Business Analysis team is comprised of business analysts focused on discovery, documentation, research, analysis, requirements gathering, process documentation, and activity tracking that supports the services that the BRM division County leadership and the respective customer departments.
This involves the following activities:
Technology Research – Business Analysis conduct reactive and proactive research in support of technology selection, business case development, and technology-based automations. The result of the research helps to inform business decisions that drive value for the various County departments.
Business Analysis – Business Analysis create and manage a variety of artifacts, reports and analysis throughout the intake process of taking an idea to becoming a funded project. Examples include: Business Requirements Documents, content for technology solicitations, customer journey maps, SWOT analyses, Product Comparison matrixes, and other analytical artifacts.
