Park Conditions & Alerts

PARK CONDITIONS

  • Bethesda Park – The Aquatic Center is closed due to the water being shut off to the entire park for water line repair. Port-a-lets are available to use.
  • Best Friend Park – The water is shut off to the entire park for water line repair and will be restored upon completion.
  • George Pierce Park – The outdoor basketball courts are closed for repair to the court surface and will reopen upon completion.
  • Gwinnett Historic Courthouse – The elevator is out of service for repair until further notice.

MAINTENANCE CLOSURES

  • Best Friend Park Gym – The entire gym will be closed September 8 – 13 for repairs to the wood floor. 
  • Bethesda Park & Aquatic Center – The driveway past the Bethesda Park Senior Center and in between Bethesda Park baseball parking lot and the maintenance compound are closed for tree work and will reopen upon completion.
  • Bogan Park – The gym and dance room will be closed September 8 – 13 for repairs to the wood floor.
  • Harmony Grove Soccer Complex – Fields 1 and 2 are closed for maintenance and will reopen upon completion.
  • Lenora Park:
    • The parking area adjacent to the dog park will be closed for paving operations beginning Friday, May 1 and will reopen upon completion.
    • The water is shut off to the restroom adjacent to the pavilion and lake for a septic line repair and will be restored upon completion.
  • Pinckneyville Park Community Recreation Center – The dance room will be closed September 10 – 15 for repairs to the wood floor.
  • Rhodes Jordan Park
    • Multipurpose Field – Repairs are being done and will reopen upon completion.
    • Community Recreation Center – The center will be closed September 8 – 15 for repairs to the wood floor.

RENOVATION CLOSURES

  • Bryson Park – The basketball court is closed for renovation and will reopen upon completion.
  • Dacula Park renovations:
    • The activity building at 2735 Auburn Avenue is closed for renovation construction until completion. There will be intermittent closures to the parking lot through the duration of the project, use caution when in the area. The tennis courts will be open from sunrise to sunset
      during construction.
    • The loop road in the rear of the park and several parking spaces near the playground and pavilion will be fenced off throughout the project’s duration to allow for the construction of a connecting roadway between the park and the activity building.
  • Lenora Park:
    • The gym is closed for renovation and will reopen upon completion.
    • The north side of the trail at the multipurpose field is closed due to construction of a pickleball court and will reopen upon completion.
  • Rabbit Hill Park:
    • The multi-purpose field is closed for turf replacement and will reopen upon completion.
    • Renovations to the parking areas will begin on Monday, April 13. Please use caution in the area and obey temporary closures.
    • Portions of the trail will be intermittently closed for renovations. Please use caution in the area and obey temporary closures.
