Park Conditions & Alerts

PARK CONDITIONS

  • All natural surface fields and trails are closed due to inclement weather.
  • Lenora Park – The water is shut off to the restroom adjacent to the pavilion and lake for a water line repair and will reopen upon completion.
  • Pinckneyville Park – The trail around the pond that is adjacent to Medlock Pavilion is closed for repaires and will reopen upon completion.

MAINTENANCE CLOSURES

RENOVATION CLOSURES

  • Dacula Park Activity Building renovations:
    • The activity building at 2735 Auburn Avenue is closed for renovation construction until completion. There will be intermittent closures to the parking lot through the duration of the project, use caution when in the area. The tennis courts will be open from sunrise to sunset during construction.
    • The loop road in the rear of the park and several parking spaces near the playground and pavilion will be fenced off throughout the project’s duration to allow for the construction of a connecting roadway between the park and the activity building.
  • Graves Park – The men's restroom will be closed for renovations March 12 and will reopen upon completion. Port-a-lets are available for use.
  • Ivy Creek Greenway Boardwalk – The boardwalk that connects the Preserve at Mill Creek apartments to the Environmental and Heritage Center is closed and will reopen upon completion. Portions of the trail leading to the boardwalk will close intermittently, please use caution in the area and obey temporary closures.
  • Lenora Park:
    • The gym is closed for renovation and will reopen upon completion.
    • The north side of the trail at the multipurpose field is closed due to construction of a pickleball court and will reopen upon completion.
  • Mountain Park Aquatic Center – Parking areas around the center are under renovations. Please use caution in the area and obey temporary closures.
  • Rabbit Hill Park – Portions of the trail will be intermittently closed for renovations. Please use caution in the area and obey temporary closures.
  • West Gwinnett Park Aquatic Center – The aquatic center will undergo mechanical renovations that will cause air temperatures inside the facility to vary as the project progresses.
