The Park Place Master Plan will apply the Daily Community Framework from the 2045 Unified Plan to the Park Place district of southwestern Gwinnett. It will create a community-driven vision for future development, redevelopment, transportation improvements, housing, open spaces, placemaking, public art, and more.

The Park Place district generally surrounds the intersections of Park Place Boulevard and Stone Mountain Highway. As an important southern gateway to Gwinnett, this corner of the county is commonly known as Mountain Park, Snellville, or Stone Mountain.

Your feedback is crucial to ensure that this plan reflects the needs, desires, and collective vision of the community.

About the Park Place Master Plan

The 2045 Unified Plan sets the vision for future growth and development in Gwinnett County, imagining the county as a tapestry of Daily Communities — places where people can meet their daily needs and access retail, entertainment, and open space within a 15-minute trip from home. Each community is unique based on its size, location, history, and culture. Park Place is one of Gwinnett’s 87 Daily Communities. The plan highlights how thoughtful redevelopment can create healthy, strong Daily Communities across the county. Learn more from the 2045 Unified Plan.

What the Plan Does

The Park Place Master Plan is part of an effort to collaborate with communities in Gwinnett County to create cohesive and implementable vision documents, called Small Area Plans.

The plan doesn't include specific development projects currently planned for the Park Place district. It also does not rezone properties but instead offers land use recommendations based on the community’s needs and desires.

While the Park Place Master Plan will not result in immediate physical changes to the area, it will, however, result in policy changes, inform future zoning, and influence future development.
