Kevin Hill was appointed Deputy Director of Emergency Management for Gwinnett County in 2024 after serving in key leadership roles that strengthened the County’s preparedness, logistics coordination, and Emergency Operations Center operations. He played a significant role in advancing Gwinnett’s emergency management program, including contributing to the County’s achievement of nationally recognized accreditation standards in 2020.
As Deputy Director, he leads hazard mitigation, training and exercises, logistics, outreach, and operational readiness efforts that support one of Georgia’s largest and most dynamic communities. Kevin brings extensive public safety experience in both emergency management and law enforcement and earned the Certified Emergency Manager designation from the International Association of Emergency Managers in 2021. He holds a Master of Science in Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and Corrections, reflecting his commitment to professional excellence and service to the community.
