Ride Gwinnett

Ride Gwinnett is Gwinnett County’s public transit service. Ride Gwinnett provides local bus, microtransit, and paratransit service in select parts of Gwinnett County. It is a safe, convenient, affordable way to get around Gwinnett.
Ride Gwinnett was established in 2001 as Gwinnett County Transit, initially providing commuter bus service to downtown Atlanta. It became Ride Gwinnett in 2023
Fare depends on the service.
  • Local bus fare is $2.50
  • Microtransit fare is $3
  • Paratransit fare is $4

Fare can be paid with exact change (our drivers cannot make change), virtual or physical bank cards, or physical or virtual Breeze cards.

Microtransit and paratransit customers paying through the Ride Gwinnett app can pay for their ride using a debit or credit card linked in the app.

I’m not familiar with riding public transit. How do I board the bus and signal my stop?
Passengers should always board buses through the front door so they can pay their fare upon entering. Ride Gwinnett vehicles offer rails and handles for standing passengers in case seats are not available upon boarding. When approaching your stop, pull the silver cord hanging along the windows to signal to the bus driver that you’ll be getting off at the next bus stop.

All Ride Gwinnett vehicles are ADA accessible. Local buses include tie-down spots for passengers in wheelchairs and ramps to allow for wheelchair boarding. Microtransit and paratransit vehicles include wheelchair ramps for wheelchair boarding.
Service animals, pets, and emotional support animals are allowed on Ride Gwinnett buses and must be in carriers or crates while aboard Ride Gwinnett vehicles.

All passengers are required to wear a shirt and shoes before boarding. Passengers are not allowed to take up additional seats with excess bags or belongings, and they must be able to handle all belongings while on board.
Eating and drinking are prohibited, and all food and beverages must be sealed in containers while onboard. Smoking and vaping are not allowed onboard Ride Gwinnett vehicles. Smartphone, music player, or game audio must not be audible as to not distract the bus driver.
