Retiree Badges Available

If you are interested in obtaining a retiree badge, walk in to the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center, 75 Langley Drive in Lawrenceville Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 10:00am and 3:00pm to 4:00pm. The retiree badge will be for identification purposes only and will not grant access to any County facility, building, or parking deck.

Join us for the monthly Caregiver Support Group

A caregiver is anyone who feels responsible for another person’s welfare (financial, emotional, and supportive) because of illness, frailty, life changes, and/or losses. If you care for your relative, spouse, or loved one, join us for our monthly support group meetings from a caregiver, join us for our monthly support group meetings from noon to 1:00pm in GJAC second floor, Support Services Conference Room.

Retiree Bereavement Notices

We regretfully announce the recent deaths of the following retirees:

Donald J. Thompson, who passed away on Saturday, December 23. Donald served the County for more than 21 years in the Department of Transportation before he retired in 1995. He is survived by his three children, Gary Thompson, Carrie Heupel, and Sherry Thompson; three brothers, Roy (Diane) Thompson, Raymond Thompson, and Ricky (Becky) Thompson; seven sisters, Peggy (Jerry) Ethridge, Kathryn Moon, Joan (Randy) Sanders, Brenda (Toby) Lindeland, Paulette Thompson Bailey, Jean (Rudolph) Pruett, and Deborah (David) Bennett; three grandchildren, Alexis Heupel, Justin Heupel, and R. J. Heupel; and a host of extended relatives, former coworkers and friends. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 28 at Flanigan Funeral Home. Online condolences may be expressed at
