*Update: 911 Audio Parents Assaulted by Sons

(September 5, 2015, Snellville, Georgia) Officers from the Gwinnett County Police Department responded to a domestic call 3061 Forbes Trail in unincorporated Snellville.

At 7:49 a.m. a 911 call was received from 3061 Forbes Trail.  A female caller was calling for help stating her children were trying to kill her and her husband. She told the 911 operator that it was their 2 sons, one 17 and the other 22 years old, trying to kill them both. She stated that her husband was distracting them so she was able to call for help.  The call eventually went silent.

Gwinnett Officers responded and upon arrival, encountered one of the sons and the father. The father was severely injured and bleeding heavily. The son was taken into immediate custody and aid was rendered to the father. Officers entered the residence and located the mother, who was the 911 caller. She was seriously injured.  The other son located inside the residence and was detained.

Officers also detected a strong odor of natural gas present inside the residence. Gwinnett County Fire Department was summoned in regards to treating the injured and checking the residence for safety due to the gas odor.

The parents were transported to a local area hospital by Gwinnett Fire/EMS. Both sons were transported to Police Headquarters to be interviewed by investigators. Both were cooperative in those interviews and were arrested. They are both being held at Gwinnett County detention Center with numerous charges pending.

(September 08, 2015, Lawrenceville, Georgia) Detectives are still processing evidence and trying to determine a motive for the brutal and vicious Saturday morning attack by two brothers against their parents. It is unclear at this point what the exact reasons were for the attack. The mother, Yvonne Ervin (50yo) has been released from an area hospital. The father, Zachary Ervin (50yo) is still being treated at an area hospital for his injuries. It is clear that he received the brunt of the attack. Based on the evidence that has been gathered thus far, it is apparent that the brothers launched a plot to kill both of their parents.

A one year history of the address showed several suspicious persons calls made from the address that are unrelated to anyone that lives at the residence. There does not appear to be a history at the location of domestic disputes or violence between any of the parties that live at the address. A preliminary hearing for Cameron Ervin and Christopher Ervin is scheduled for Friday September 11, 2015, at 1:30 PM at the Gwinnett County Detention Center. The brothers are being held at the Gwinnett County Detention Center for Aggravated Assault and Arson. The drop box link below can be used to access the 911 call made by Yvonne Ervin.
