UPDATE #2: Suspect Complains on Loss Prevention Officers, Returns to Shoplift - Tag Number Identified - Suspect Identified and Warrant Obtained
Update #2 03/12/18:The officer working this case has positively identified the suspect as Johnathan Tyreik Walker, 32 years old, from Stone Mountain. A warrant for shoplifting has been obtained for his arrest. His whereabouts is unknown at this time. If anyone has any information on his location they are encouraged to contact Gwinnett Police or Crime Stoppers.
Update #1 03/05/18:
The suspect that shoplifted from Target after complaining about being stopped for attempting to shoplift has hit multiple Target stores in the metro area. The tag number on the blue Chevrolet Tahoe has been identified as “RGE 3539.” If anyone sees this vehicle or suspect they are encouraged to call the police.
Original 02/14/18:
(Lawrenceville, Georgia) Gwinnett Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a shoplifting suspect.
Incident Location: Target, 3200 Holcomb Bridge Rd, Peachtree Corners, GA
Suspect: B/M, average build, short hair and facial hair
Vehicle: Chevrolet Suburban, blue
On January 8th, 2018 the suspect entered the Target and placed two XBox One’s in an empty storage container and attempted to purchase the container in the self-checkout line. A loss prevention officer approached the suspect, who claimed it was a mistake. The suspect left the store and drove out of the parking lot in a blue Chevrolet Suburban. The suspect later called the Target and complained that he was treated poorly by loss prevention in reference to this incident.
On February 9, 2018 the same suspect entered the store and again placed an XBox One in an empty storage container. This time he left the store without paying, skipping the checkout line entirely. The suspect left the parking lot in the same vehicle.
