Earth Day
Gwinnett Solid Waste Management partners with Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful to celebrate Earth Day every year. The 2026 Earth Day event will take place on Saturday, April 18. Residents will be able to drop off hard to recycle items which include clothing, paint, electronics, sneakers, tires, and paper. Stay tuned for more details on our 2026 event.

America Recycles Day
Celebrate America Recycles Day with Gwinnett!
Celebrate America Recycles Day by dropping off electronics, clothing and sneakers, latex and oil-based paints, and tires. Paper shredding will also be available. Stay tuned for more details. This event is brought to you by the Gwinnett Solid Waste Management and Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful.
Electronics normally recycled include CD/DVD players, cable equipment, cameras/camcorders, cash registers, cellphones, circuit boards, computers, copiers, fax machines, hard drives, keyboards, laptops, mainframes, mice, monitors, POS equipment, printers, scanners, security equipment, servers, speakers, telephone systems, televisions, terminals, typewriters, and VCR players.

Glass Recycling Event

Community Engagement
Gwinnett County Solid Waste Management hosts several educational events and outreach programs throughout the year by partnering with local organizations such as Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful and the Gwinnett Environmental and Heritage Center.
Gwinnett County Solid Waste Management team members encourage recycling and sustainability through:

- Neighborhood and Home Owner's Association meetings
- Adult and children’s learning programs
- Fairs and expos
- Virtual presentations
- Guest sessions on podcasts and radio programs
Knowledgeable Gwinnett County recycling representatives share valuable insights about the benefits of recycling and sustainability to protect our environment and natural resources. Team members continually engage the community to actively promote the three R’s: Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle.
