Comments on Proposed Millage Rate
2025 Proposed Millage Rate Comment Form
The Gwinnett Board of Commissioners will consider keeping the General Fund millage rate at 6.95 mills during their meeting on Tuesday, August 19 at 2:00pm. The proposed millage rate has been announced as a tax increase. According to state law, any proposed millage rate above the rollback rate is considered a tax increase. Gwinnett County's rollback rate is 6.607 mills.
With the millage rate held steady at 6.95 mills, generally, property owners who benefit from the Value Offset Exemption will not see an increase in the county government portion of their property taxes.
You are invited to attend one of the public hearings to share your comments. All three meetings will be held in the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center auditorium located at 75 Langley Drive in Lawrenceville.
Tuesday, August 12 at 11:00am and 6:30pm • Tuesday, August 19 at 11:00am
