This month, Gwinnett County Health and Human Services will sponsor two events that promote family health and wellness.

Family Caregiver’s Conference
Friends of Gwinnett County Senior Services and Senior Issues Action Team of the Gwinnett Coalition for Health and Human Services are sponsoring the Family Caregiver’s Conference on Saturday, August 28 from 9:30am – 3:00pm at the First United Methodist Church of Lawrenceville, 395 Crogan Street in Lawrenceville. The conference will cover eight issues that family caregivers face such as burnout, difficult behavior, and legal and financial issues. Exhibitors from several agencies will be on-site to provide valuable resources to family caregivers. The keynote speaker is Ted Bowman, who is an educator, consultant, and author.

Friends Charity Gold Classic
Come play where the pros play and support the Friends of Gwinnett County Senior Services at the inaugural Friends Charity Golf Classic on Monday, August 30 at the Duluth TPC Sugarloaf golf course. Sponsorship opportunities and team participation are still available for this event. Registration will take place from 9:00am to 10:45am.
