(Lawrenceville, Ga., May 28, 2026) – Gwinnett County Police Vice Unit investigators seized more than $900,000 worth of counterfeit designer merchandise following an investigation into the sale of fake luxury items.

(Grayson, Ga., Sunday May 24, 2026) – The Gwinnett Police Department Homicide Unit and Crime Scene Investigators are currently investigating a death that occurred on the 300 block of Wilkerson Way in unincorporated Grayson.

(Norcross, Ga., Jan. 14, 2026) – Gwinnett County Police VICE Investigators arrest a 36-year-old for trying meet up with a 14-year-old female.

(Lawrenceville, Ga., Jan. 12, 2026) – Detectives have identified the victim as Abel Alejandro Unzicker Chavez (36, Snellville).  Derrick Devon Thomas (30, Snellville) has been charged with Felony Murder, Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Firearm during a Felony and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.  Detectives are still investigating what led up to the shooting.

(Lawrenceville, Ga., Jan. 9, 2026) – Gwinnett County Police Special Victim Unit detectives arrested a Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Deputy during an investigation involving a minor.

(Lawrenceville, Ga., Dec. 3, 2025) – The Gwinnett County Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a missing 59-year-old from Lawrenceville.

(Atlanta, Ga., Dec.. 18, 2025) – Shortly before 1:40 p.m., Gwinnett County Police were requested by members of the State Mobile Crisis Team from Behavioral Health Link to respond with them to 6719 Lockridge Drive regarding a mental health related incident.

(Lawrenceville, Ga., Dec. 2, 2025) – Gwinnett County Police detectives are investigating a domestic homicide that left one man and one woman deceased.

 (Norcross, Ga., Nov. 14, 2025) – At approximately 12:20 PM, officers from the West Precinct responded to 1695 Graves Road in Norcross in reference to a deceased female. When officers arrived, they located 32-year-old Marisol Ballestas Brochero deceased inside her residence. The cause and manner of death have not been determined at this time. Detectives responded to the scene and are actively investigating the incident. The Crime Scene Unit is processing the residence and collecting evidence.
