(Peachtree Corners, Georgia)  The Gwinnett County Police Department is actively investigating a homicide that occurred on Ashley Lakes Drive in Peachtree Corners just after 12:00 PM today.  Officers were dispatched to the scene after receiving a 911 call alerting them that a male had been shot inside one of the apartments.

When officers arrived they located a deceased male in the 700 building of the complex.  Detectives responded to the scene to collect evidence and speak with witnesses.  At this time, detectives believe that the victim was familiar with the suspect.  There is no description of the suspect.

Information on the victim will be held until the next of kin is notified.
