Man Shot in Leg Flags Down Private Ambulance

(Lawrenceville, Georgia) Gwinnett County Police are investigating a shooting that was reported when a man flagged down a private ambulance service while traveling in a vehicle on highway 316. The incident happened around 2:30 p.m. Police have learned that the victim called his brother to pick him up from a Lawrenceville apartment complex. His brother arrived to find him suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. His brother began driving up highway 316 towards Gwinnett Medical Center when the victim saw a private ambulance service and flagged them down.

Police were called to the scene and the man was transported to the hospital by Gwinnett County Fire and Emergency Services. At this point it is not clear where the man was when he was shot. It is also not clear what the circumstances were surrounding the shooting. Police are interviewing the victim and potential witnesses.
