Earth Day
Come out to celebrate Earth Day on April 27 from 9:00am until noon at Coolray Field. Residents can drop off electronics, clothing and sneakers, latex and oil-based paints, and tires. Paper shredding is also available. In addition, residents can take part in different activities such as touch-a-truck, face painting, and meeting different haulers. This is a rain or shine event and is brought to you by Gwinnett Solid Waste Management and Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful.
Here are some helpful tips before you arrive:
- Paper shredding is limited to five copier paper boxes
- Oil-based and latex paint will be accepted and limited to 10 gallons per vehicle
- Tires without rims are limited to eight tires per vehicle; no dealer tires
- Electronics recycling is free except for TVs, monitors, and printers – ($35 cash fee per projection/console TV; $15 cash fee per computer monitor or TV; $5 cash fee per printer)
Electronics normally recycled are CD/DVD players, cable equipment, cameras/camcorders, cash registers, cellphones, circuit boards, computers, copiers, fax machines, hard drives, keyboards, laptops, mainframes, mice, monitors, POS equipment, printers, scanners, security equipment, servers, speakers, telephone systems, televisions, terminals, typewriters, and VCR players.
Boxes and containers will NOT be returned.

America Recycles Day
Celebrate America Recycles Day with Gwinnett! Check back for 2024 dates and details.
Each year, Gwinnett County Solid Waste Management and Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful partner to celebrate America Recycles Day. Residents are invited to drop off hard to recycle items such as clothing, paint, electronics, sneakers, tires, paper and more.
