Paper Shredding Event
Shred it and forget it! Gwinnett Solid Waste Management will host a multi-day Paper Shredding Event from Tuesday, October 10 through Friday, October 13 from 11:00am to 2:00pm at a different location each day.

Residents are limited to five copier boxes. Paper must be in a disposable container as it will not be returned. This is a rain or shine event.

2023 America Recycles Day
America Recycles Day was started in 1997 by the National Recycling Coalition to encourage Americans to commit to recycling. Gwinnett County Solid Waste Management sponsors an annual America Recycles Day event in partnership with Gwinnett Clean and Beautiful.
Celebrate America Recycles Day with Gwinnett! Recycle your electronics, paint, clothing, sneakers, tires, and paper at our annual recycling event on Saturday, November 4, 2023 from 9:00am to noon at Gwinnett Fairgrounds Sugarloaf parking lot, 2405 Sugarloaf Parkway in Lawrenceville. Paper shredding will be done on site.
Here are some reminders before you come: paper shredding is limited to five copier paper boxes; paint is limited to 10 gallons; tires are limited to eight (without rims), electronics recycling is free except for TVs, monitors, and printers. There is a $35 cash fee per projection or console TV, $15 cash fee per TV or computer monitor, and a $5 cash fee per printer.
Earth Day
Each year, Gwinnett County partners with Gwinnett Clean and Beautiful to celebrate Earth Day by giving residents an opportunity to dispose of hard-to-recycle items. Stay tuned for more information regarding our April 2024 Earth Day event. Residents can drop off electronics, clothing and sneakers, latex and oil-based paints, and tires. Paper shredding is also available. This is a rain or shine event.

Household Hazardous Waste Day
The Gwinnett County Department of Water Resources partners with Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful for Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day twice a year. Stay tuned for more information regarding our 2024 Household Hazardous Waste Collection Days.
Residents are invited to safely drop off household hazardous waste for reuse, recycling, or disposal during these events.
