Ready to be active? Reserve the Be Active Gwinnett mobile recreation center to come to your event, camp, or book it to roll up to your school or community for free health screenings or educational speaking engagements.

Mission:Be Active Gwinnett, a recreation center on wheels, provides underserved communities located in play deserts who have limited access to structured activities, the opportunity to be physically active outside in a play-safe environment.

Vision:Be Active Gwinnett aspires to be Gwinnett County's champion for healthy habits that assist with decreasing obesity while advocating for positive community development and awareness of wellness resources.

Community Event

Community events include health fairs, resource, faith-based facility events, etc. Be Active Gwinnett will setup self-led activities, an informational booth and provide giveaways for participants. Afterschool/Summer Camp

When Be Active Gwinnett visits afterschool programs and summer camps, staff will implement a brief lesson (5-15 minutes) from a health-based curriculum. Depending on the location, Be Active Gwinnett can visit afterschool programs or camps on a once-per-month basis. For specific questions, contact BeActiveGwinnett@GwinnettCounty.com or 770.822.8825.
Mobile Health Screening

A collaborative effort with several community partners to bring health screenings directly to you and your community. The types of screenings would vary depending on the type of event/requests and availability of our partners. Would need a minimum of four months in advance to request. Health Education/Guest Speaking

Similar to our afterschool and camp visits, Be Active Gwinnett staff can come out to events to lead health education lessons with your community. These lessons are best suited for middle school-aged children or younger. If you are hosting a resource fair, staff can speak about the program and what services we can provide your community.
