County expands food distribution efforts

Gwinnett County is helping families access essential food and hygiene products. Learn more about the County’s efforts and available resources.

Food Security Resources

Safe and nutritious food is essential to lead an active and healthy life. Gwinnett County is committed to address this complex issue with a comprehensive approach to provide immediate relief to those affected by food insecurity.

Through collaborations with civil organizations, partner groups, and dedicated volunteers, we offer key strategies to ensure everyone in our community has access to nutritious food.

More than 90,000 Gwinnettians are currently facing uncertainty with service disruptions in federal nutrition assistance programs. That’s in addition to federal workers who have been going without pay.

Gwinnett County Chairwoman Nicole Love Hendrickson recently announced that the County is donating $250,000 worth of food and hygiene products to six local cooperative ministries to support them through this time and into the holiday season.
