Lilburn Man Sentenced to Life for Sexually Abusing 2 Children

(Lawrenceville, Ga., 4/25/25) – A Lilburn man was found guilty of repeatedly sexually abusing two children.

Rodolfo Grimaldo-Sanchez, 40, was convicted of two counts of rape, three counts of aggravated child molestation, and three counts of child molestation for molesting and sexually abusing the two siblings over the course of at least six years. He was sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole, plus five years.

“We are pleased with the results of this trial and pray that the victims are comforted by this outcome,” Gwinnett District Attorney Patsy Austin-Gatson said. “These victims’ courage to face this defendant in court saved their younger siblings and helped begin their paths to healing.”

The defendant began abusing the children separately when each of them reached the age of 8. He ended his abuse of the children around the time they each reached puberty. When the children were both older, they told one another about the abuse and then told their mother in order to protect their two younger brothers. Their mother informed police.

The brother and sister, now ages 19 and 16 respectively, testified during the trial and a Gwinnett County jury returned guilty verdicts on all charges.

Special Victims Unit Assistant District Attorney Nicole Eck and Managing Assistant District Attorney Mikaela Henderson prosecuted the case with the assistance of SVU Investigator Damisi Gray and Victim Witness Advocate Rocio Pineda.
