ARSON SUSPECTED AFTER FINDING AN INCENDIARY DEVICE BEHIND HOME

(Lawrenceville, Ga., July 10, 2025) – Firefighters responded at 6:14 a.m. on Friday, June 27, 2025, to a report of a fire alarm on the 700 block of Clairidge Lane in Lawrenceville. The 911 caller reported that the fire alarm was sounding and there was a smell of smoke in their home. The caller advised that they were clear to evacuate the house until the fire department’s arrival.

Fortunately, the fire was out upon arrival, and no one was injured. Arson suspected after finding an incendiary device behind home, this is an active arson investigation. Arson is a serious felony crime that places lives in danger and is punishable by imprisonment and associated fines. Gwinnett County Fire Investigators are seeking the public’s help in bringing those responsible to justice.

Anyone with information about the fire is asked to contact the Gwinnett County Fire Investigations Section at 678-518-4890 or the Georgia Arson Control Hotline at 1-800-282-5804. Georgia Arson Control, Inc. offers a reward of UP TO $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for arson. According to the Fire Investigators, no other information will be released at this time due to the ongoing investigation.
