ARMED ROBBERY - $1600 CASH FOR SHOE PURCHASE

(Lawrenceville, Ga., Sept. 26, 2023) – On Sept. 1 at approximately 10:54 p.m., a victim is robbed at gunpoint of $1600 attempting to buy shoes in front of the Shell Gas Station at 5260 Stone Mountain Highway in Stone Mountain.

The victim had been communicating with the suspects by telephone and planned to meet up to purchase a pair of Balenciaga shoes, along with two other pairs of shoes.  The victim said the suspects were in a black sport utility vehicle when he met them in front of the gas station.  He said the male suspect got out and he handed him $1600 in cash for the shoes.  He said the male handed over the Balenciaga shoes and went to look for the other shoes. 

The victim said the female suspect said this is taken too long and hands the male suspect a handgun.  He said the male then pointed the gun at him and demanded the Balenciaga shoes back.  The vehicle then left on East Park Place towards Rockbridge Road.

The victim describes the female suspect as a white female with a red tattoo above the eye.  He described the male suspect as a black male with facial hair and pulled back dreads.  The suspect vehicle appeared to be a bronze or brown Ford Explorer.
