ORIGINAL: (Norcross, Ga., February 8, 2025) – The Gwinnett County Police department is investigating a shooting that resulted in one male shot and a deceased female.

Just after 10:00a.m., officers assigned to our West Precinct responded to a report of a person shot in the area of 1800 Ardsley Place.  As officers arrived on scene, they discovered one male suffering from a gunshot wound.  The male was then transported to the hospital for his wound.  Officers were then directed to an apartment where the incident occurred.  Once officers arrived at the apartment, they discovered a deceased female.  This appears to be an isolated domestic event.  Citizens do not need to be concerned about an on-going threat.

The scene was secured, and investigators from our Homicide Unit responded along with our Crime Scene Unit.  The victim’s identification is being withheld until the next of kin has been notified. This incident is being actively investigated by GCPD detectives.
