UPDATE #1: (Snellville, Ga., July 23, 2025) – The victim has been identified as Oscar Alexis Cruz (age 28, Lawrenceville).  Next-of-kin notification has been made.

ORIGINAL: (Snellville, Ga., July 22, 2025) – Gwinnett County Police detectives are investigating a shooting that left one man deceased. 

Around 6:00am officers at the South Precinct responded to a person down call in a parking lot near the 2400 block of Webb Gin House Road.  Officers found one adult male deceased with a gunshot wound.  Homicide detectives are canvassing the area, and the Crime Scene Unit is collecting evidence and photographs.  The victim’s identification is being withheld until the next of kin has been identified.
