(Duluth, Ga., October 1, 2021) –The Gwinnett Police Department has arrested Maxwell Williamson (22 year old male, from Duluth) in connection with Carlether Foley’s (36 year old female, living in Duluth) death.

Shortly after 11:15 pm on (September 25, 2021), Gwinnett Police officers were dispatched to an “unknown medical call” at 3355 McDaniel Rd in Duluth, where Foley was unresponsive. The Gwinnett Fire Department arrived on scene and located Foley deceased with a gunshot wound to the head. 

Williamson stated, he had an accidental discharge while he was loading his firearm. Williamson has been charged with Involuntary Manslaughter (Felony), Reckless Conduct and is currently being held at the Gwinnet County Jail without bond.
