Update #2, 04/20/2020:  The Homicide Unit identified the shooter as Steven Tran (age 19, Kennesaw).  Steven was booked into the Gwinnett County Jail on Friday, April 17.  He has been charged with two counts of Felony Murder and three counts of Aggravated Assault.  The motive for this crime appears to be drug-related.

Update #1, 04/17/2020:  The victims have been identified as Julian Talbo (age 20, male, Lawrenceville) and An Ha (age 23, male, Grayson). The crime took place at 1850 Racquet Club Circle in unincorporated Lawrenceville.

Additional details about the crime are not being released at this time.

Original, 04/16/2020:  (Lawrenceville, Georgia) The GCPD Homicide Unit is investigating a shooting that resulted in the death of two males.

Shortly after 8pm, officers assigned to the Central Precinct were dispatched to a “person shot” call on Racquet Club Circle in unincorporated Lawrenceville. When officers arrived, they found two Asian males deceased from gunshot wounds.  The victims were found in the lower level of the split-foyer home. 

The person who made the 911 call has just returned to the home after stepping out temporarily.  The caller is a friend of at least one of the victims. 

Detectives are still in the preliminary stages of this investigation.  The victim’s names will be released upon notification of their next-of-kins.  The motive for this crime is still being investigated.
